Did these start when they started to make pants without pockets?

"It almost seems to add an upscale appearance to what might previously be considered a plain ensemble." This is the reason for pockets on Tees according to Stitches Magazine.
I mean the pocket really adds that elegance. Maybe I should where that for Christmas Eve Dinner.
Plus, without shirt pockets I have no place to put my pocket protector. Um, I mean, hypothetically, people who have things like that. I don't even know what a pocket protector is.
My dad wouldn't let me wear shirts like this when I was young because he thought I would grow up to be a smoker.
Okay so I did not wear a pocket t shirt for Christmas eve but looking at other pictures perhaps I should have. Maybe next year I can add an upscale appearance to my plain ensemble.
