Woohooo Roller Coaster!!!!!

Friends, I am sorry I have taken some of you on this exhausting ride. We are back on for Afghanistan. While I am so excited for all the same reasons and am looking forward to the expierence, I am now a litle sad too. I had about 4 days to think I wasn't going, and in those days I quickly slipped back into my life here, thinking about this summer, trips I'd go on, new friends I have, VOC girls I'd see, weddings I'd ambiguously crash, and a sister to run through the ghetto with. But I got a call this morning, actually 2, and this time it's "official", I guess at least more official than last time. The right people met and agreed so I think it's for real this time.

I believe the goal is to have us on a plane to get out of conus within two weeks. We are subject to flights and one day of meetings in FL, but we're overdue there so I don't think there will be much more delay.

Folks, don't forget my pretty sister living in DC, she will have lots more time on her hands... She is happy to share her monsters with you.

I just noticed I wrote "conus". The military is taking over my brain. That means "inside the US".

I don't think I'm tall enough to ride this ride. My head doesn't come up to the line. Man, I never get to do anything fun.

hello hobbit. It does actually mean continental US.

I lost the list, but I remember one thing on it... something about see if the Afghans will eat hot sauce if you merely place it in front of them. I know you are searching for your heritage.
