I can't imagine having to flee my own country, then live in secret for fear of losing my life. I wonder what is so threatening about Christianity to them or if it is that Christianity is associated with the US and they hate the US that much.

I can't imagine it either but people have to do it every day. All over asia, the middle east, and even places that seem to be so modern like Ireland. They don't understand Christianity but they can sense that something is there and it's threatening everything they believe in, everything they've been brought up to understand. It threatens their entire way of life. So many people think that because it's the 21st century, everyone's free to think and believe what they want everywhere and that religion is something that is in old books...stories. What they don't realize is that God is just as real and just as powerful today as he was in the beginning and the thought of that can be threatening, comforting, joyful, and/or scarey.
